i5 3570k overclocking - help needed

I recently got a Intel i5 3570k and I would like to know what a save overclock for it would be. It is being cooled with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo. I would rather not increase the voltage due to heat, but if it doesn't make too much of a difference i'll do it.

Having that cpu means you can change the multiplier. Try a multiplier of 1.1 and OC it to about 4.2,4.4,or 4.6. Before you get really crazy though and go above 5 you're going to want to get some sort of water cooling. kraken is good or corsair make some very easy assembling solutions for around 60-150 dollars.

Another tip too is most motherboards have a reset thing. Make sure you know how to do that before you totally screw things up royally. Also write everything down as default and then modify 1 thing at a time, save, test, and reboot. Don't change like 5 things and reboot. It'll save you time in the long run trying to troubleshoot.

What Motherboard do you have? It makes a world of difference if you have a asus rog board or something that is designed to be OC'ed.

I have an Asus p8z77-v lk. It's definitely not the most overclockable board, but I'm not wanting an extreme overclock.
