Hello, i am gonna build a gaming system to join the pc gaming world but i have a question. If i want a system that is not so futureproof, like one that will be used until broadwell in 2014, should i go with an i3 or an i5. Also i do not need like superior graphics on games like BF3 or something like that and i don't think that it would be as enjoyable as it would be as i have a crappy dell monitor maybe i will play at med or high settings, i really just want to casually play games, i am not competitive or something like that. Also can you all recommend me a VGA card?
Also, i do not care about overclocking.
If you have extra cash grab a low end i5, if money is tighter go for a high end i3. I can't give GPU suggestions unless we have a budget.
If youre looking for a system to play mid graphics on games for a while but dont wana spend to much on it I would reccomend the 6670. Its a VERY cheap card but can still play games on decent graphics. And using it with an i5 you should have a half decent system. My brother has an 6670 in his system that I built for him a few months ago and can play skyrim in 1080p on medium settings!

i do not mind it, i can get the Asus directCu silent version, but it would be quite awkward to put it with an i5. So it can let me play games on low to med settings at 1080p?
