I'm new to this forum so here's a first 'Hi'. I'm wondering whether an upgrade from the intel i3-560 to the FX-6300 would be worth the money. I'm mainly going to be browsing the internet, but I play games often and do some video encoding here and there. I was initially looking to upgrade to a 3570k, but that is no out of my price range as I've realised I would need to buy a new motherboard too. The AMD upgrade is looking to cost about £150-170 including the ASRock 970 Extreme3.
i'd say save and buy what you wanted in the first place, no point in settling.
That's true. Its just that I was hoping to throw an SSD into the mix as well so the intel option+SSD is way too much, whereas the AMD option+ SSD is still within reach. I'll definitley have a think about waiting a bit longer though.
its well worth it i'd say, make sure to get something like the evo to OC it.
Already got one with a Noctua PWN fan so I'm overclocking ready :)
