I want to build a budget gaming rig and am wondering if the sandy bridge 2100 for $120 is a better deal than the ivy 3220 for $130 when it comes to heating. I've heard that the ivy bridge processors suffer from more heat problems than the sandy bridge ones due to the thermal compound beneath the outer CPU. So is 200 Mhz more really worth it if i don't plan on overclocking and am using the stock heatsink? I really want to make a solid choice on this.
that's really more proment in the qaud cores and when overclocking as far as performance the 3220 will kick the 2100's ass its 200mhz faster and its a newer architeture that's more optimized and uses less juice, but for 130$ I would go the amd route and get the 6300, not the 6100 or 6200 those are faildozer, this is verhersha=good
gigabusterexe, i3 isnt quad lol, its duo core with hyperthreading.
