I was bored, this is what I would do if I had $900

I was bored and I found the above video while researching SNES tech and this is what I would do if I had $900 to make one of the coolest computers ever

CPU- i5 2400S low voltage

MOBO-Zotac mini-itx 1155

RAM-Gskill 2x8GB 1333 7-7-7 1.35v

SSD-Muskin mSATA 128GB SATA III

Heatsink-GELID slim Silence i-Plus

PSU-Pico PSU 160w

GPU- HD 7750 low profile

exhaust/intake/NB Fans-4-5x sunon 40mm

Blutooth-IOGEAR 4.0 dongle

Wifi-ENCORE B/G/N 300Mbps
shoved in the SNES game pack

as well as a molex to 4xfan adaptor and a couple hdmi right angle dongles

so can anyone see this or is it just the stuff I post is not that interesting?

I've always wanted to build one fo these systems but I've never had the money to do so. Haha.

Building one of these for HTPC would be awesome, though I'm more keen on the APU for just HTPC's . Though the i5 and low profile card would smoke that solution so kudos to you for finding that. Even if the build won't acctully be put together It's still cool to assemble "what if" systems for fun of it.

I have actually seen this video before. I'm a big retro gaming nut. Gotta remember alot of the people who would be interested in this video, or gaming style would only be in their thirties or late 20's. Anyone older, would remember them, but lost interest long ago, or are too young to know about these systems. I was fortunate enough to not only grow up in the 80's and 90's but had vast amounts of fun playing said systems.

With that said, this was an excellent video, and a good find when it comes to retro stuff. I think this build he did was very very challenging. Hell, even the NES machine he did was challenging. But with PC components getting smaller, and everything heading in the direction of small formfactor and having a big punch with said form factor, I think that mods like this will be getting more and more common. Although, the availability of said consoles is quickly becoming more and more rare.

....awesome.

Maybe you can find one of the people Smerrills talked about and build it for him and turn a profit.

awsome :)

nope I'd never sell it, it'll be my baby, I'll be a mutlimillionaire before I can afford it anyways

Pretty nifty build, only thing irked me in the vid was he kept showing the god damn RF output instead of AC.....

That's how I play Donkey Kong.
