I Want to try some new Headphones!?!?!

Hey guys I currently use my logitech G930 as a gaming headset. I also have a pair of Sennheiser HD 449 headphones and Blue Snowball on the side. I mainly use the G930 becuase the snowball would catch to much background noise in my house. FFS my friends on skype and stream could hear people flushing the toilet down the hall. Anyway I was wondering what you guys would recommend for me to do. I love my Sennheisers but I feel like I kind of want an upgrade. I was thinking of maybe buying an external dac but I feel like that would be overkill for these headphones (although I have to admit I wish these could get louder). As for the mic what do you guys recommend (preferably something that doesn't pick up a lot of background noise but doesn't sound like shit)(shit being my headset mic).

BTW REALLY IMPORTANT!

I have pretty big ears, I believe they are about 2 1/2 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide so my sennheisers just barely fit around my ears. Although, I can barely notice them on me at times I would prefer to have them not hugging my ears the way they are. I do use my headphones for a long time (about 6-12 hours a day if not more).

As for how much I am looking to spend:

I am currently going to start saving for this so I don't really mind of going into spending hundreds of dollars. I just don't want something I can't appreciate. I was thinking of buying a pair of Sennheiser HD 598's but i Just don't like the way they look. (That headphone being the area I don't really want to superpass).

TLDR; I have some Sennheiser HD 449's and I want something a bit better. I am also looking for a mic that can get rid of a lot of background noise because people in my house can make a lot of noises but I don't want the mic to be shitty, something comparable to the Blue Snowball.

Thanks guys!!

For headphones, I'd recommend the AKG K550. I've got big ears as well and I've used a pair of these before for 5 hours straight and forgot I was wearing them. You can probably find them somewhere cheaper than this price because I can find them for £100 ($170) in the UK.

I'm no microphone expert though.

Thank you for the recommendation but I should have mentioned that I'm not really a fan of leather ear pads. I currently do use leather pads but I'm not to fond of them.

Also, one thing to note is that I would like to try an open back headphone.
