I think i need a new video card

When I’m trying to watch you tube I can’t watch 1080p tell it is fully loaded the video can lag behind the sound or jump. I’m running a older card it is a rs770 hawk.  on another note I was wanting to know what would be a good replacement I do play a lot of game but I don’t want one that is over kill or  another msi.

                Thanks

msi is good, but your card... I've never heard of it.

waht are your system specs?

you sure you dont just need to update flash player? or something else along the software lines like drivers?

Does the card still play the games you want it to?

Would need to check those things before buying a new graphics card.

pretty beefy looking. How old is the card? with 800 stream processors I don't think you need to upgrade.

A review from newegg. he is not satisfied.

Pros: Worked great for about 14 months under moderate use in a very well ventilated box then began to exhibit weakening

Cons: Purchased 01/07/2011 Now the fans are loud at start up and the GPU's seem to be weakening. I've got EVGA 8800's that still work today and even earlier cards in Beta test units that are still working. These were advertised with "Military Grade" components - Yea, right.

Other Thoughts: I've been around the block with MSI on several other pieces of hardware and should have learned my lesson then. Running a Beta test facility all the hardware gets moderate to light usage with short periods of heavy usage in boxes that are maintained weekly (cleaned, tested and so on). If hardware fails in under a couple years use in our facility you now that it weak and was never really stress tested. Guess whose motherboards and Video Cards we won't be using any longer....

it is about a year almost two years old

the card overall has a 75% positive feedback tho, so thats about the norm for failures.

At two years old I don't think you need to upgrade. Unless you want too.

Unless it fails to the point where your computer won't boot then i'd assume it's a driver issue.
