I'm building a computer and I have a case and it is atx and does not say if it supports micro atx motherboards. I have a micro atx motherboard and I don't now if I will have any problems. Will my motherboard be too small? Should I just get case that says it supports micro atx.
What is the case?
Raidmax tornado atx 238wrp
Alot of ATX cases work fine with Micro atx boards, from looking up your case, I see quite a bit of different Mobo mounting points. its probly safe to say it will work. If it only had the holes drilled for the standard ATX board then id say no.
found this online too:
"microATX was explicitly designed to be backward-compatable with ATX. The mounting points of microATX motherboards are a subset of those used on full-size ATX boards, and the I/O panel is identical. Thus, microATX motherboards can be used in full-size ATX cases. Furthermore, most microATX motherboards generally use the same power connectors as ATX motherboards, thus permitting the use of full-size ATX power supplies with microATX boards."
