Ok guys i need you now more than ever! Whislt building my pc i have encountered a lot of problems, this is my first time and im doing it alone.
To start, do i need to apply a bit of force to get my 24 pin powers and usb and audio connectors to fit fully in place. when i do put force my mobo egins to bend and im scared it will break. What do i do?
also my ethernet port seem to be bent and doesnt fit in the io shield. what do i do?
Just hold the edge of your motherboard when inserting power plugs - it keeps the board from flexing too much. My board flexed a lot when plugging the 24pin in for the first time. The rear IO shield on some motherboards/case combinations can just be really bad. My rear IO shield is just completely shit and I even had to remove some of the metal inbetween my usb ports on it to get the things to plug in. Although your case with the ethernet port not wanting to plug in sounds more like you not lining up the motherboard correctly to the rear IO shield when mounting the board to the case. Try remounting the board to get a better alignment. It can get tricky sometimes.
ok guys, im a complete idiot, i hadnt plugged the screen in (please throw abuse at me ideserve it) and it has told me a cpu fan error. i will get back to you when i retest it
