- What failed on your old headset? ... will give more insight to your needs.
- do you just want it for gaming or for listening to music also?
- If for music also ... how important is sound quality to you (do you consider yourself to be an audiophile?)
for gaming and right side the metal fall off dunno why? i listen to music a little but i do mostly gaming
I use a set of these for gaming and they are not terrible at $10 you can buy ten sets

I can't get into the forums to read previous threads on this subject at the moment (error code 500) but soon as I can I will read up on it for you and maybe someone else will post there thoughts
I have a set of these you can just have ... they are bullet proof except for the inline volume adjuster part is a little cheesy

Was gonna suggest the headset you managed to break, I dont know mine are still in really good shape after about a years worth of time and I love them.
Though I wouldnt mind getting a new headset with a headphone jack instead as I would have more versatility with one.
corsair vengeance 1500 had these two years used daily for at least two hours a pop
I have been reading good things about the steel series siberia v2 about $50

I own them .
They are great gaming , but not for music .
The mic is pretty good too , but my headband broke after the first week .Got it fixed though by tying a knot on the headband .
50$ is cheap for this imho . It has lasted ~2 years and 3 months of torture up to now :p
thank u and i thought all headset are good for gaming and music??
The best headphones for music will not have a built in mic. there are a few that a ok though ... just not great
