I need help fixing a weird problem with my monitors

Ok this morning i was working on my pc and both of my monitors were working fine,but after i got home from work i can only get one to work at a time.

MY GPU is a 7970,and one is hooked up using a dvi to vga,the other is using active display port to DVI,an so far i can only get video out of the DVI port,i have tried both display ports,and i have tried each screen on dvi and both work off of dvi.

If this helps i just recently did a reinstall of my OS,and fresh install of AMD's latest driver(no settings changed).

Under your "Screen Resolution" settings does the system detect 2 monitors?

just a though sometimes resolutions can get set too low or high for some monitors.

No it only detects the screen hooked up to the dvi port.
