I put this on Build a PC because well.. This is my first time building my PC.. & I'm extremely stuck.. lol, I just want to get to my desktop so I can do things... :( HELPP Please :x
Did you install an operating system?
It took me to the "Asus UEFI BIOS Utility" Place I put in the Windows 8 didn't do anything, I put in the support disk.. didn't do anything I"m doing everything the freakin manual says lol -_-

If you already installed the OS, then it might be trying to boot from a different device or doesn't recognize the HDD you have the OS installed on for whatever reason. If you're installing the OS, it should automatically take you to the install process. If not, when the BIOS comes up, find boot devices and choose your disc drive. Not sure if I helped.
Did you make sure everything is connected, namely your HDD and disc drive, and that they're in working order?
In the Asus menu it read both drives the Disc Drive and thee other drive :x Hate being new to this..... Ugh!
I'm just trying to understand exactly what's going on so feel free to correct me here: you've put the computer together, you've got a new copy of Win8 to install and, when you put the disc in the drive, it takes you directly to BIOS instead of the install process as it should. Selecting the disc drive in the boot device menu yields no results. BIOS is reading that both the disc drive and HDD are connected and, to your knowledge, they're both working. How soon after you boot the computer are you putting in the Win8 installation disc?
