I have a 780i mobo and two GTX 260 c216.
I really want to get the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium - Fatal1ty Pro, but my 260 is covering my PCIe slot.
The only available slot for me is PCI and PCIe x16(tri-sli)
I am going to ust it for gaming, music and some movies.
Thanks
you can put a pci-e into a pci x16 slot you know...
edit: and i would recommend the azuntec forte, its a really good pci-e card

Yo Belial, The Fatal1ty works in the X16 slot. How ever I do not recommend that card. Highly unstable,My Recommendations are....
-Auzentech Prelude
-Auzentech AZT-Forte
or
-Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer <---(Quality but the two are better, Creative makes crappy drivers but this card seems to be their most stable in vista and 64-bit OS's)

Auzentech Prelude. No reason to use your 3rd pci-e 16 slot could get another gtx 260.

I just purchased the Diamond Multi Media XtremeSound 7.1 Channel Sound card.. it's fantastic IMO for the price that is.
30$ at staples
50$ at newegg
I'm going to be uploading a video on it soon
Like George said, u can use a PCI-E x1 card in any PCI-E slot.
Id reccomend the Auzentech Prelude and the Forte.
go for something by creative labs

If u go with Creative, then be aware of their drivers, which are rly crappy.
k, then, i still like the cards though

auzentech much better than creative.
I have that X-fi Titanium Fatal1ty card. Amazing sound quality however, horrible drivers and support. I suggest you stay FAR away from Creative. Go with a card from Auzentech or HT Omega.
Ok I am back...
Thanks for all the recommendations.
Can you guys link me to your recommended sound cards?
My budget is $150 I cant go over that.
well, the one logan recommends is:
auzentec forte - low profile, pci-e really good sound card aparantly, one of the best.
if you want more power go with the auzentec prelude, but thats 175 i think
What do you all think of this headsets
CyberSnipa Sonar http://us-webstore.cybersnipa.com/p/742946/cyber-snipa-sonar-51-headset.html
Creative FATAL1TY 3.5mm gold-plated Circumaural Gaming Headset http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826158051

the sonar is 5.1, the fatal1ty is stereo, so its your choice, both headsets are good, you just need to decide between 5.1 or stereo
