I need a replacement GPU for new build

This is my current build.  I am ordering the parts on Wednesday, but today I came across a problem while I as surfing other parts on newegg. New egg is out of Stock of the SAPPHIRE Vapr-X 7970. I was going to go with this card because I have used SAPPHIRE for a long time, I have never had one fail, and the Vaper-X looked to be a good cooling solution. But it seems that other places to order it have it for a higher price with the exception of Amazon. ( but this kept me from going that way “ Usually ships within 3 - 5 weeks.” )

So I am kind of stuck between what cards I could replace the current card. I was thinking going with the XFX Double D HD 7970 GHz Edition. I know they make good products when it comes to power supplies, and I have heard good things about their graphics cards also. Plus they do have a life time warranty. But I am just not sure. I like going with brands that I know work well, and have experence with in the past.

Does anyone have any experience with XFX cards?

Also which would you pick. Should I find it  and pay more for the Vaper-X some place else / wait until it is in stock.. OR try something new like the XFX?

TLDR: XFX Double D HD 7970 to replace SAPPHIRE Vaper-X 7970

i've heard bad things about the xfx cards. if i were you maybe go with a gigabyte card or maybe look into a nvida one if you dont want to wait.

I believe all the new revision XFX 79xx are now voltage locked, which may impact OCing. I would personally go with Sapphire over XFX.

I looked at the gigabyte too, and that was tempting. I might to that rought. Personally I really hope Sapphire comes back in stock before the 10th.

I also heard that too about their cards being V locked too, but I thought you could unlock it.

Also I will be in the future be cross firing this card with another one.
