I need a new budget router

Guys I need help. Our current router ($35 purchased 6 years ago) is dying. I am needing to get a new one without financially hurting myself. I know that you guys are very knowledgeable about this and that's why I came here first.

Here's what I need:

  • Preferably under $100
  • Wireless (obviously)
  • 4 ethernet ports

Currently I am looking at the Asus RT-AC52U and the Linksys WRT54GL so if you guys have any thoughts on these routers they would be greatly appreciated.

I would buy a wireless card of ebay then build your own router tek syndicate made a video on it a while back you should go check it out

I actually thought about doing that, but I didn't have time to wait for a network card to come in the mail. I needed an instant fix. And i don't have an old computer where I am currently living that I could use for that. So I just bought a Netgear N300 at a local store.
