After everything I've done so far this may need to just go into hacking at this point but maybe we can fix the issue here.
I have a HDD from a Windows 7 PC with a fried motherboard and I am trying to hook it up as an external to another pc to retrieve media. I have done this a couple of times before and it was just a matter of changing the owner of the drive then permisasions and I could access it. This drive even after all that still says access denied when I try to open it I have looked all over the web for an answer and nothing fits my specific situation. I'm starting to think the hard drive may have fried as well but hopefully that is not the case.
Any help (even to the point of suggesting a good hack tool) would be much appreciated.
