I have found a permanent solution to my latency problems and WiFi!

So for the longest time i have used my PC upstairs away from where the main router is… down stairs, and well if anyone else uses the internet it cripples my latency and destroys online gaming.
We have a decent speed of 20 down and 1 up for what we pay and it’s unlimited ADSL+

So what i decided to do was purchase a cheap ASUS RTN13U Router that can be used as a Router/ AP/ Repeater.

I put the Router into Repeater mode, and have hard wired from the Router to my PC in my own room, connected the main router wirelessly to the main one from upstairs… the result is MASSIVELY different.

Ping does spike when others are streaming etc on the internet but i get ZERO packet loss which was a massive issue with using WiFi. And it is barely noticeable now when i do spike apart from when it is spiking from like 40 to 300 but that’s now far rarer.

I advise anyone who does what i do to ditch any WiFi for gaming and go the route i did to gain a stable connection, i am amazed at the difference
