I have an extra 60-70 dollars on my build should i add an SSD?

I was going over my build now that my case is coming i had some extra money in my 1000 dollar gaming build. As i was looking through my parts and i was researching my motherboard the Asus P8Z77-V LK ATX LGA1155. I noticed that it has intel smart response technology. So i was thinking it might be smart to add a small boot drive. It says that it only reguires a minimum of 18.6gb but i figured id look for around 40-60gb. Is it worth it to have such a small ssd? Who makes good ssd's?

well right now a 64gb is going to run you around $80, with a 32gb in the 40-50 range, and if you plan to use this for a boot drive only with your start up programs only I don't see a reason not to get one, if all you are after is a fast boot.

I'm sure you could find a crucial m4 60gb ssd for ~70. For the money though there isnt another item worth $70 (that you havent already bought) that will give you a similiar performance increase.

I just swapped out a saphire ghz for one with a boost clock the only difference i can see is that the one is 50mhz difference in the clock. So i went with a crucial m4 128gb.

i would use the ssd (if its around 60 or less gb) as a cache rather than a boot drive

if its over 80gb then use it as an actual drive

Get an ssd AS A BOOT DRIVE FOR YOUR OS makes an insane difference.

I got a Samsung 64GB SSD for $57(AUD though), but it fills up surprisingly quickly. I'd save a bit more to get a +128GB one.

Friend of mine bought a Samsung 830 128gb for $80. Keep looking for deals and get a 128gb instead.

Actually i switched my 7970 to one that is just "boosted" instead of gHZ saved enough to include a 128gb ssd.
