oh ubuntu 13.10 youre my dream lol
lol im still using 12.04 on my netbook. Mostly for warranty issues (my asus came with it)
You do know that it's full of spyware don't you?
Ubuntu is losing users at a very rapid rate because of all the spyware and some other things.
As long as you know why you're doing the opposite of most experienced FOSS-users....
Also, Ubuntu 13.10 is only supported until next summer... that's 9 months of support... really? That's even less than Windows.
:P I'm getting old...
Last Ubuntu I installed was "Warty Warthog" or something... 4.10 anyways... XD
oh get off your pedestal
instead of paying $100 for a new one and turning off the internet function in the search i think its pretty good
LOL
OMG... I just realized 4.10 Warty Warthog was the first release of Ubuntu... ROFLMAO
NOW I FEEL REALLY OLD!!!!!!
LOL now THAT'S something to tell

Is this what you are talking about? If so it looks like its in 12.10
I am running 12.04 and when my warranty is up I will be installing whatever the newest mint version is and probably swapping in a ssd.
I also dont have a a ubuntu one account, nor is it set up on my notebook.
That's one thing, the really bad thing is that if you uninstall whoopsie, you can't set your privacy settings anymore, so you have the choice of being spied upon behind your back or being spied upon behind your back or allowing to be spied upon voluntarily...
You realize that the only software alterations that can void a warranty are the ones that have the potential to damage hardware, such as inside OS overclocking utilities?
At least he's got some choices.
I like ElementaryOS Luna better. It's ubuntu 12.10 but with a different skin on top. The GUI is really pretty :P
Something to tell the grandkids, hehe.
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i build and maintain a my pc if a part goes bad i fix it
yeah im not a ubuntu one user
i tired it didnt like the skin and had problems with it
I got 13.10 to install on my horribly partitioned acer laptop and the touch screen works out of the box.
Only thing I have to finagle was the bluetooth mouse. For some reason when I pair it to the ubuntu it loses its pair with windows. And vice versa.
It wrote over the EFI partition like butter. So happy.
Also going to upgrade my other systems this weekend.
I use Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 currently and it has become my distro of choice. you should give it a try.
