I Finally Did It!

Please bear with me- This might not seem like a big deal to most of you, but I'm happy this was able to work. I was finally able to successfully install Linux on my (2015) Dell XPS 13. :-)

I know, it's a laptop that has a 'developer' edition' with Ubuntu installed on it, but I could never make it install properly no matter how many times I tried, that is until just now. Enabling UEFI and disabling Legacy in the BIOS weren't enough to get it to install, but after resetting the BIOS back to factory I was able to get Ubuntu installed. It's a shame that it's an older version (14.04), but for now it will do until I can get the newer release loaded on it.

Got Chrome, Steam, and my media play of choice loaded and everything seems to run well. :-D

I had some trouble getting CentOS installed on an Acer laptop it was a nightmare, then once I did get it installed the trackpad would not work. But luckily updating the BIOS added an option to the BIOS for the trackpad that fixed it thank goodness.... though I did have to reinstall windows and THEN Linux again. But it made me happy.
