How do I check what PSU I have? I opened my computer up and the PSU is completely blank, it could be up side down but I don't want to flip it over. Is there any way to check what type of PSU I have using software or at least its watt capacity?
Is it an OEM computer? Dell, HP, etc. If so look up the model and there should be a spec list for your computer including the wattage of the PSU.
No I got a barebones kit 2 years ago when I knew absolutely nothing about computers, I have no clue.
Well your best bet is to get a screw driver and find the sticker, it isn't too difficult, just make sure the machines off of course.
If you save your emails chexck what it was in the barebones kit.
take photos of your pc guts, upload them ehre and other members hopefully know what psu that you have.
