I am building a second PC I would like to see if this is a good setup for gaming

I have not started I have not started yet on the built so far this is all I have

Cpu - amd fx 6300
Motherboard - asus M5a97 R2.0
HD - western Digital 1TB black
GPU - R9 270x DirectCU ll
Corsair obsidian 450D mid tower case
G . Skill ripjaws series
PSU - corsair cx750
CPU cooler - ?????????? Don't now.
SSD - Don't now . ?????
Budget I am on is between $800 - $900

1) get closed loop cooling like corsair h60 since this build is not powerfull.(h60 will take you long way)
2) 280x will be much better for gpu or used 290x
3) Its a nice case.
4) Get Mushkin SSD

As posted above IMO you probably don't want to go lower than a R9 280. Been helping with builds for years and the 270s are not quite enough anymore if you plan on not upgrading for a few years. The 270's are great cards but it's around $20 more for a 280 and that extra GB of ram is getting more and more noticeable.

What about I put in a gigabyte geforce gtx970 windforce 3x

Been off a few days but that would be a good bit better than the 270x.
