I 100% recommend this book

If you are somebody who likes fantasy books, then I wholly recommend "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. It's an amazing book, my favourite infact. Read it, now! I command you!

So yeah, read the book...

Well then, in that case I command you to read The Wise Man's Fear!

Good choice of book, btw :P

I picked it up a while back... haven't read it.. How does it stack up to the George R. R. Martin stuff?

I'd say they are on par with each other, quality wise. Martin's felt much more convoluted, though, as they follow multiple story-lines.

Definitely different styles.

You'll have to like first-person narrative if you are going to read Patrick Rothfuss' books.

I haven't read of George R.R. Martin's stuff, but I have the say the Kingkiller Chronicles are great (The Name of the Wind, The Wise Man's Fear) . The next sequel is coming out next year.

P.S. Hey, Logan, are you doing any more giveaways soon?

It's probably really fun, but I've yet to find anything as dense (philosophically, politically, and in general complexity) as R. Scott Bakker's The Second Apocalypse, or anything as grandiose as Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen. In the genre of epic fantasy, that is.

As for A Song of Ice and Fire, I'm so sorry Logan, but as much as I enjoy those books dare I say... a tad overrated? ;)
