I do gaming, coding (developing websites), and Photoshop. My whole budget for the build is around $1000 just for the PC and I've picked all the parts but the CPU (3570k or 3770k). Does Hyperthreading really make a significant difference in those stuff I do (especially coding and Photoshop) and is it really worth the extra $100?
It really shouldn't have any significant impact. Maybe for the games y'all get a few frames more, but overall for coding and photoshop really.

go with the 3770k. if you dont want to spend the money on it, get the Fx-8350 instead of the 3570. it gets better performance for about the same price. (also, amd mobo's are generaly a bit cheaper)
Thanks for your help, dude. Actually I am thinking of getting the fx 8350 after watching Logan's video. Now, I'm gonna need help on choosing the mobo because I'm not so familiar with AMD mobos. I created a new post in the motherboard section. I hope anyone can help.
You will not regret it... Specially if you will play ARMA 2. Hopefully DayZ Standalone will have same support for AMD FX 8350 like ARMA 2. IDK if it uses all 8 cores or its somehow the coding of the engine is far more multi thread friendly.
