Alright who here has read Hyperion? it is a 4 book series and I am on the second book. 

 

 

The first book is FUCKING BREATHTAKING! The way he describes the future and explains the scenery is INSANE! How he describes the technology and the farcaster portals and the hundreds of worlds in the hegemony is nuts.

 

If anyone hasn't read it and likes science fiction check it out immediately!!!

also the idea of how software evolves by cannibalizing lesser programs.

I* am just surprised that when I get into discussions Online or IRL people have never read or even heard of the Hyperion seiries. It is so damn good it should get more recognition.

maybe it's the boarder line fantasy. ti really goes like eons into the future.
