I'm trying to mount the 212 to the cpu. However the Motherboard has a backplate that is causing me trouble. The motherboard has cooler mounting brackets which are threaded through the backplate of the motherboard. The 212 manual says to put standoffs right where the bracket holes are. I tried to unscrew the backplate and it seems that the brackets require the plate in order to be secure. As long as the motherboard plate stays on there I can't mount the 212 because the holes are blocked by the brackets, Any advice?
You are supposed to remove the mobos backplate and install the one with the 212 evo.
