HUGE space for a HUGE Radiator (80 mm thick!)

Okay Ladies and Gents so I've been in sort of a shit storm recently because I want to get the Alphacool 'NexXxoS Monsta' in their 360 and 120 varients but because they're so thick I'm not sure what cases will fit dat phat ass that looks nice and clean and has a clean side panel window. (No crazy cases with alien designs and red led fans build in with weird side panel window shapes and all that.)

So I was originally thinking of the Corsair Obsidian 800D (Triple on top, single on rear exhaust). Problem is no case website ever tells you the top clearance for rads and such. And I couldn't find any specs for clearance on any case except for one on NZXT but that case only had 90 mil. And I'm not too sure if it'll just make it.

Then the problem to all my space problems ended with the TJ11 by SIlverstone. Looks clean, has a side panel window, shit load of room for rads in the bottom. But BAM, what really puts me off that case is the 90 degree angled motherboard layout that they put in. I really don't like the look of it and it made me :'(.

So my plea is if anyone has this rad could you kindly tell me what case you used and how you got it in and what clearance you got left. Or if you have a case or know one that matches the criteria that I got could you please tell me that'd be much appreciated. Also if you got the 800D with a triple up top how thick is your rad and what kind of clearance have you got?

Thankyou everyone for hearing me out and I hope you can solve my problem!
P.S Don't try to talk me out of this rad because I'm pretty much deadset on it and it's performance is amazing and has recieved positive critical acclaim whilst also looking awesomse!

I am a watercooler myselft, AND I FUCKING LOVE THE NZXT SWITCH 810. I can fit a triple 360 in the top 120 in the back 240 in the front. Also the Rosewill Blackhawk Ultra can easily fit your needs actually it can fit 3 of those radiators........

I found this picture of an NZXT mod with thickass rads

TJ11 is THE perfect case.

TJ07 is also an option. Can still fit a 480mm + 240mm rad (and PSU ofc) in the HDD section of the case. And it's cheaper!

Cheers man but that was the case I was on about, they say it only supports up to 90 mil total space in the top though :'( And I was thinking of going with Noctua NF-F12 PWM because of their quiet operation and their outstanding CFM and Static pressure. They're designed for rads pretty much.

That Rosewill case looks sick but my biggest problem with it is the the meshed side panel with all the mounting holes for fans. I don't mean to sound picky as hell but it just seems you can't have it all haha!

By the way that system looks sick! I reckon even though the site say's 90 mil total clearance I reckon I could get away with it! Would you have any idea as to how thick the rad is in that picture? Cheers!

I know it's really the perfect one but why oh why did they make that 90 degree motherboard mount!? I know it's good for natural airflow and convection but aesthetics wise I don't like it much. i think watercooling loops look so much better upright. I'd get the TJ07 but the interior's not painted all black like the TJ11 so it's all exposed aluminium! :(

But if there's a way to get it in the 800D then it's a instant steal!

Oh wait I could just put it in the front! or would that be against natural heat rises lalala and the hot air that isn't exhausted would just stay in the front part and heat up the rad again therefore rendering it ineffective? Would mods be reqired to remove the whole front drive bays and such or is modding required? Also I think I just answered my own question because it looks like he left the top bay which has been cut for an optical drive or something.

Anything on there

Daym Africa talk about space!

But my only problem is that they have that 'server chassis' type look because they're custom made and stuff and aren't really standard consumer towers from the big brands if you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, build quality and space must be exceptional. It's just not for me.

There's no pleasing me hahah -__-

Learn how to weld, drill and construct, buy some sheet metal and build your own case. Then it'll be just like you want it. >_>

I'd love a TJ11, but then I like the 90* Motheboard twist.

get the TJ07 and then paint it yourself

Corsair is going to be coming out with a 900D, which is going to be significantly bigger than the 800D. I don't know when they're going to release it though.

Yeah I was watching a video yesterday mentioning that! It looks like it resembles the TJ11 but minus the 90 degree motherboard angling. They say it should be released sometime in October apparently so I'll keep a very close eye on that! Looks like it's the case for me after all.

I can't be bothered modding. Even for just painting a case. If I can do something one way without modding and another with why would I go out of my way to mod? It's just so much easier.

Funny story actually when I was doing Wood and metal work earlier this year I screwed up every project that I did with metal yet I was like an artistan with Wood.

Perhaps If I were to ever mod anything I'd get the new 900D that Corsair is supposedly bringing out next month and make custom wooden panels for the top and front of the case, and give them a nice dark stain to blend in with the side panels before applying varnish to protect it and finnish the look. I reckon it'd look good with either a high gloss finnish or perhaps more a satin or semi gloss finnish depending on my taste at the time.

Yeah some people like the motherboard twist, and I don't have anything against you for liking it. Infact I praise Silverstone for trying new and innovative things to think outside the box.

You get really bad droop with standard cases with heavier blocks. Need extra support. So the rotated motherboard is actually perfect for watercooling. If you have money look at the Murderbox, its a heavily moddifed Tj07. Its not silver inside thats for sure
