Hey Tek Team, i want to ask why is the https coding so weak on this side. Only 128Bit, thats kind of weak dont you think. 256 Bit would be much better, come on you are Tek Syndicate, i mean you talk so much about securtiy and stuff. Plz fix that.
340282366920938463463374607431768211456 is a shitload of possible keys. How many forums do you post on that have complete site wide https encryption? I post on exactly one, being tek syndicate.
Well, good luck with that. I'm insufficiently skilled to know where to begin, just educated and cynical enough to worry about lower strength encryption.
Sadly I'm not able to become Tek Support at this time, much as I'd like to. Finances are tight.
More rounds doesn't buy you more security. To date from what I have read more rounds have been broken on the longer 256 key (11 of 14) than the 128 (3 of 10). When you add rounds you slow down the encryption part. When there is a known attack on 128 bit then we'll move on.
They use TLS 1.2 which is great as its the latest (for now) standard and has no known vulnerabilities. 256bit is recommended but not required. There's a lot more to it than just key strength.
