HTPC APU Upgrade

Hey everyone, I am looking to upgrade the APU in my HTPC. The problem I am running into is there doesn't seem to be much decent information on what these chips are capable of as far as decoding. I currently have an A6 6400k. No matter what I do it seems that the UVD decoder on this chip is just not capable of 1080p 60fps h.264 decode. While not entirely necessary I find that the dxva decoder offers much better picture quality than software decoding does coming from my nvidia hardware encoded rigs using steam in home streaming. I do have a socket FM2+ board so Kaveri is an option. A bonus would be the horsepower for software 1080p hevc decode as well which stutters on my 6400k. Curious if anyone has had experience with both scenarios on an APU and can give me a definitive answer of what I will need or if not what hardware upgrade path would be the most effective. Thanks!

It would seem to be a driver issue as the much less powerful Kabini-based Sempron is capable of H.264 playback at 1080p 60FPS without issue. From xbitlabs

There are no critical problems here although the GPU load is much higher. The Kabini’s GPU load is up to 90%, yet they cope with the task well. There are no dropped frames in this test.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried various drivers with no help but can't hurt to roll back to what they used in that review.
