[HP][SWITCH]What does this mean? Img:

Umm… Did you even read what ports that thing has?

10base-t

Please read up on some basic networking concepts before asking for a suggestion, especially if you plan to support this yourself in the future.

This would just be a temporary fix

Temporary or not, you would likely keep the hardware for other use later. So why intentionally handicap yourself with a 10mbps switch!?

Look for a 1000Base-T switch, a simple TP-Link or Netgear unmanaged switch are quite cheap and they get the job done.

CRS326 (139$)

24 x gigs ports
2 x SFP+ ports (10 Gbps)
Simple SWOS (Switch OS) interface.

It gives you all the basic functionality for a managed switch, plus more: allows to manage port-to-port forwarding, apply MAC filter, configure VLANs, mirror traffic, apply bandwidth limitation and even adjust some MAC and IP header fields. SFP cage supports both 1.25 Gb SFP and 10 Gb SFP+ modules.

If you want to have an integrated modest performance routing (800 Mbps+) function integrated:

CRS326 with Routing (199$)

It has “Dual boot” feature that allows you to choose which operating system you prefer to use, RouterOS or SwOS. If you prefer to have a simplified switch only OS with more switch specific features, use SwOS. If you are used to Winbox and would like the ability to use routing and other Layer 3 features on some ports in your CRS, boot and use RouterOS. You can select the desired operating system from RouterOS, from SwOS or from the RouterBOOT loader settings.
