News is what I am thinking. Unfortunately I live in a rural area and only have a satellite internet connection with 50GB/month. So Netflix is a no. I was wondering if there was a more unique thing that someone was using it for. I thought about Linux, and while it can be done, I'm not sure how well it works on a 7" touch screen.
If you read the review i mentioned linux. You can't run it on here cause the EFI is 32bit. All Linux distros are 64bit.
Linux distros are not ALL 64 bit, you can still get i386 compiled versions of linux code. I have Xubuntu 15.04 i386 on my Intel Atom N270 2010 netbook.
It still doesn't work.. and i was referencing the popular modern distros.
Kernel 3.19 isn't new enough for you? It's the latest stable kernel version that is released in all of the debian based distributions currently out. My 5 year old netbook with 10 year old x86 single core hardware runs fine on xubuntu 15.04 with the i386 code. I can't imagine why a newer atom processor wouldn't support native i386 linux kernel with the new kernel version.
