I am trying to update a procurve switch (2810 (J9022A) ) to the latest firmware since the latest has a non java version. The current firmware is from 2008 where the latest update is from 2017. I get in to the server by the console port (we do not have a current PCM license or i would use procurve manager). I am getting an error when i start the tftp transfer. it is giving an “invalid input: tftp” response. I would really like to find away to get this updated.
With the help of a co-worker I was able to figure it out. I had to disable sftp with the command no ip ssh filetransfer
