HP Nic ram slot?

Hey, I’m wondering if I need a sodimm memory stick for this HP Network interface card to work. I looks like it has some micron memory chips soldered on but I’m not sure if it’s usefulness will be hindered if I don’t install some memory.

It is a weird cache module for that particular card.

However, I going to stop you where you are. You do realise this is a PROPRIETARY CARD only for HP ML370 servers?

This will NOT work in any other computer, if you are planning on using this in another machine take a look at the Intel Pro 1000/MT instead.
