Since 2009, I've had a PC with a Phenom x4 9100e 1.8 which I've relentlessly beat the crap out of with games and video rendering for 3 years. After reformatting windows, it still works like a honkin' beast...sort of not really but it's like brand new, so I gave it to my friend.
I now have a laptop, for school. uggh....
I would love a good ol rig again, and after my much satisfaction with AMD, I'd figure I'd put my faith in it again with this build.

Please, leave any information you want to help me improve it. I'm still deciding on a heatsink.
I pretty much wanted something crazy fast because my biggest pet peeve is slow hardware
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is usually a good choice for a heatsink. Great cooling and relatively cheap ($25-30, if it's on sale). But that's if you aren't planning on going the liquid cooling route.
Drop to 650-750watts 750 will be enough for sli/OC, i don't like that case (seems like it's just me), get a 60gb cache SSD, you can save a bit with a 670 the performance increase from 670>680 is not worth the price, the i5 3570k is cheaper (at microcenter) and so are the boards and is better suited for a workstation but i'm not here to tell you what to want.

Also "obtain" your window7 like normal people and put that $100 into a sexier case, a CLC/Heatsink, a bigger/second harddrive or if you really hate money a GTX 680.
It looks fine to me. I mean, if you can afford that case and PSU, I say go for it. 850W will give you a lot of future options. I would only add $10 to buy a 1TB Barracuda or Western Digital Blue( get the 64MB version whichever you choose). And for such a budget, an aftermarket cooler would be a good investment. On the cheap side, get a CM Hyper 212( Evo or +, they're practically the same, but the newer one does have a few degrees advantage). For more extreme cooling and/ or overclocking( the 8350 is easy to get over 4.5Ghz with little voltage increase. You could even shoot for 5.0Ghz), get either a CM TPC 812, Noctua NH-D14 or a Corsair H100i
I know everyone will probably disagree with me on this, but, I gotta throw it out there. grab 2 660's. before anyone jumps on me for suggesting SLI, let me explain.
1: dispite popular beliefe, 2 660's WILL perform better than a single 680
2: +more cuda cores for adobe stuff if you're interested
3: Superclocked II version is only like 239.99 on newegg, bet you could find it cheaper elsewhere
4: only downside is maybe +3-5C on top card, and less room for future upgrades.
