do i have to use something like macros or anything to use a controller on pc. im thinking of using an xbox one or PS4 controller if that makes any difference. please help!
I am using a XBOX 360 pad and its for the games that support it plug and play. I have heard that the PS4 controller also should be natively supported, and the XBONE also should be.
Microsoft is hem hawing around releasing drivers for the xbox one, someone managed to make a unofficial driver for it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9vKvVHw-Y8
as for ps4 its really too long to explain on here, here is a ling to PC Mag's article on how to do it. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2429965,00.asp
The 360 controller has native support, and the game either has support for it specifically and controls are pre assigned, it has gamepad support and you manually assign controls. or you set it up as a joystick and manual assign controls. If it is keyboard only, well you would be better off playing with the keyboard but you can use things like joytokey
ps3 is similar to ps4.
