How to set up a home network?

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this? I cannot find any good tuts so if any of you know any good ones then show it to me

Modem - > Router - > Ethernet connection-->Computer/Network Settings

idk yet all the way lol in a few months i think i will be done refurbing my basement and then im gonna have ppl come over and use my basement for lan parties and shit

modem connects to router. router to pc. set it up with installation cd or in the control panel like the cool kids. every other pc thats wireless just auto detects the network, enter your wep key and ur connected. simple as pie. lucious pie.


if im not mistaken linksys by default are 192.168.1.2 but i could be mistaken as its been about a year since i bothered with a home network
