So I recently built a new pc and long with that I upgraded my monitor setup. For this new build I deiced to go with 2 r9 390s in crossfire because I wanted to game at 4k. The cards are more than capable for gaming on 4k however I have 2 additional 24" monitors that I want to run independently of my main 4k monitor. I have been messing around with my graphic card's setting but I cannot seem to figure out how to run my 3 displays independently and not in eyefinity mode. For reference my old pc had 2 nvidia cards in sli and I ran 3 monitors independently and want to do the same with my new setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
What do you mean independently?
Just use the windows display settings in control panel...
I mean not having them linked together and run a one large display. If this makes any sense I dont want the res to 5780x1080 or somehting like that. I want the computer to recongize each display as having its on res. So the 2 side monitors would be run at 1920x1080 and my main center screen at 3840x2160
when i go to use the windows display settings it does allow me to run them seperatly.
for what reason? like running some things full screen? it seems to lock that to one monitor for me anyways

from 2011, dunno if it's still relevant and your 4k display is most likely already over DP but
"- Support up to 3 monitor outputs simultaneously and independently.(one of the outputs must be DisplayPort.)"
So right now I have my 4k monitor plugged in via display port and the other 2 as dvi. Right now the only monitor that is working is my center one. The other two are blank and act as if they are not hooked up to anything.
are they all hooked up to the first card?
yes
well maybe this will have an answer
See that is how I did with my nvidia setup but now I have a amd gfx card setup.
