Hi folks!
This might be a rudamentary question, but it there anything to have in mind when installing a new power supply? Or is it just to remove the old one, screw the new one into place and cram all cables into the new one?

Yea, it's pretty straight forward. the only thing i have problem with is cables smacking into things and getting caught on things.
Just keep them organized.
