I'm wondering how I can get sound to work on Linux, I've tried a few things but none of them work.
Did you get inmto the mixor an make sure you have the right output selected as default.
My god, I feel like such an idiot, thanks. I did not think of that, or anything like that. I thought I was going to need to get drivers. Thanks for making me look for the simple answer.

It's happened to the best of us. One time, I killed and relaunched ALSA and PulseAudio before realizing that I had the wrong output selected.
Yeah you have a lot more control over audio in Linux but it does mean it is a little harder. KDE mixer is even more fully featured and sometimes it gets me lol.
