How to download Claude Artifacts as files?

I have been using Claude artifacts for small web pages, code snippets and documents, but i’m a little confused about the best way to download them as actual file

For example, if claude creates an html page or a code artifact, is there built-in way to download the original file directly, or do i need to copy the source and save it manually?

I’d also be interested to know how this works for different artifact types like HTML, Markdown, or PDF.

How do you normally download Claude Artifacts to your computer?

You can try 3 ways:

  1. Open the artifact, then click the small arrow nexr to Copy. You should see a Download option to save it as a file
  2. Use the AI Chat Exporter by Backrun chrome extension. It can export Claude content while keeping formatting, with files like PDF, Word and Markdown
  3. Ask Claude to convert the Artifact into a downloadable file directly, for example an HTML, Markdown, Word, or PDF file.
