I recently finished the c++ and qt tutorials on thenewboston and am wondering what would be the most efficient use of my time.
Right now my plan is to read some books I have lined up while learning from example qt projects.
-Thanks in advance

I think your mood and enthusiasm are the most important thing when it comes to learning. If someone gives you money to learn stuff, shits way easy to learn (for some reason) :D
If it's your own stuff? Try making your own projects, try and drain the enthusiasm. Translation from one language to another is a blast! You never know where things are going to go sideways. If the enthusiasm is drained, try something new!
C++ sucks... but whatever floats your boat :D
Surround yourself with C++ humor, immerse yourself in the "environment" you imagine a C++ programmer would enjoy!
AND TALK TO PEOPLE ABOUT C++ I find talking to people the hardest part of learning, maybe the best way to learn C++ is to find an awesome community of C++ programmers. Maybe game dev communities? You might need to swap out whatever the hell QT is to further your C++ depending on your motivation.
C++ C++ ... torrets :D
Yeah I think this is an underrated aspect of learning. If you just keep writing your own code and never get it reviewed or talk to someone about it, you'll never (or at least more slowly) get to the next level. Constructive criticism and insights from better programmers is extremely valuable.
Game dev stuff man, there are tonnes of people gamedev.net is full of them C++ fart sniffers last time I checked... sorry, just poking fun. :P
But yeah, you might have to leave your comfort zone loads of C++ on that site, last time I checked (n.years ago)
