Today morning an old motherboard died in a company computer serving as a print server for big-ass Mimaki printer. Whole computer was old and not really reliable, so I got tasked with building a new one. The problem is, room containing all the constantly running machinery (printers, plotters, laminating machines) is hot (30°C+) and dusty in spite of running AC.
Can you recommend some really reliable components (MOBO, CPU, memory) which can handle this kind of punishment all day long for at least a year?
Reliability is subjective to many things, the best thing I can tell you to do is pick some reputable parts manufacturers, put some dust filter on the fans (I have some that are magnetic so you can pop them off, wash em off and put back on really quick) and maybe a CLC for the processor to try and keep the temps down. How in the world is it so hot in that building with central air?
