How much should I be spending on a CPU?

If you need WiFi, you'll need a card(unless your motherboard has onboard Wifi, which in this case it doesn't).

I've had much better luck with internal WiFi cards. USB just didn't quite cut it for gaming.

I recommend this one: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-wireless-network-card-gcwb867di

It actually uses Intel's 7260 chip. Very stable and excellent performance for a WiFi card. As long as you aren't trying to game in a part of your house where WiFi signal is weak, you should be good.

Another option you might want to consider though is Powerline Networking, if you are unable to run an ethernet cable from your router to your computer.

Well this is an odd necro
