please answer it, thanks

For the longest time I was using the original Droid X (circa 2009) which had verizons tainted version of 2.3!

haha, well i am working on a teksyndicate android app. and am trying to see how far back do i absolutely have to go before i am just wasting time trying to get things to work. right now i am 4.0+ but if there are a large amount of people using versions prior to 4.0 then i will go back farther and support older releases. as it stands right now, 5 people have voted on the poll and only 1 uses a version older than 4.0

I think 4.0 and up it more than enough.

Definitely stick to 4.0+, make your life easier.  According to Google it's something like 90+% of devices above 4.0

well if its that high, then yeah i will just stick to 4.0+

I'm using my Nexus 5 with Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Lollipop running on ART runtime exclusively, i found to be very quick, and i didn't get any of the issues people have been getting, like app compatibility or system instability, most likely due to it being a Nexus device.

I'm really liking it. Much better than ICS and JB in my opinion, looks better (imo) and there are a lot of shortcuts to useful stuff in the notification bar than before, without the need to root or flash, although i still root :P

Also the build-in battery saver is working great, probably since it gets low level access since it's made by Google.

Got my gingerbread phone

I am running it on my multi-rom Nexus 7/5 my love affair with android is starting to come to an end though.

5.0 is pretty snappy which is nice.

I'm using 4.4.4 right now, Sony is pretty slow with the updates, so probably will take until the second half of the year for my Z2 to get lollipop.

Used to have an LG Double Play running cupcake.
