Didn't find any post like this here, so I'll post one.
*How many monitors are you running currently? *What GPU are you using? *Would you like to have more monitors?
My goal is just to get people interact with each other.
My reply to those questions:
*I am currently running dual monitor setup(1 1080p and another 1366x768) *Currently using GTX 650 with 1GB VRAM. Bottlenecks a lot when running games on borderless. *Would always like to have 1 more monitor.
I am currently using a dual monitor setup as well. (One 24 inch Dell 1080p and an old 19 inch HP 1600 x 900)
Current GPU is a Sapphire 270x Vapor-X 2GB. It has been a solid card for most games at 1080p, provided I don't max out all the settings. It will be upgraded soon.
I would love to get a third monitor, but that upgrade would also require a new desk, plans for both are in the works.
Well, you guys have pretty great setups! I want to upgrade very soon, but first I would need to get a better PSU. Today I actually have 1 possible 1 day job, don't even know, how much do I get from there. I may even be gone for next 3 or 4 days.
I have three asus 23.8" 1080p IPS two are in the normal position and the one on the right is vertical for forms/fb/twiters/coding
Currently this setup works very well. I have no want for another I would like a vesa mount that holds all three currently only have two on a mount and the other one is on some books to match height.
Sadly, a single BenQ XL2411Z. Its an amazing single monitor with its 144hz refresh rate, but I want 3... xD Currently, a singly 770 4gb but that might change to a 980 (when they're cheap on ebay).
I've got a 24" IPS monitor and two 21.5" TN monitors on the sides. All 1080p.
I don't do much gaming, so my 750ti runs them just fine.
When I upgrade it'll be to replace the TN panels, and I want to get a 34" ultrawide for my main monitor. I'd have to upgrade my GPU as well, of course. But "who knows" when this will happen. : )
Two. 18" (I think) 1366x768 on the left side at an angle, 24" 1080p main display straight ahead. R9 280X. Hoping it will be enough until 400 series if it ever comes out. I'd take a single higher resolution or ultrawide display before going Eyefinity.
4 monitors two Acer 27" on the bottom and 2 Acer 23" on the top, video is provided by 2 R9 270x cards. I don't need anything above 1080p but I will eventually replace the 23" monitors with 2 more 27".
One of the 23" monitors will eventually be for the PCI passthrough once I get all of that sorted out, at the moment one 23" displays the CCTV security camera feeds, the other 23" displays media content aggregation software so it can be monitored and processed, one of the 27" has a browser open with tabs for The Tek, Usenet, or whatever site I'm looking at along with a open terminal running TOP and a hardware monitoring program so I can view cpu core, memory, and network utilization in real time, the last 27" is my actual work space...all currently running Fedora 22, oh and a tablet (Nexus 7) on the desk for when things all go to hell.
Two monitors, an Asus VH238H 24- inch (1920x1080) and an older 19- inch Samsung SyncMaster 953BW (1440x900). I have a GTX 770 2GB card. The Samsung really just serves as a secondary monitor for programming and such, and it's nice to have videos open and stuff on it while playing an online game.
3 monitors. One 1440p as my main, a 1080p monitor in portrait mode to the side and a 1080p TV at the other side. The TV is only there to watch stuff from further away really, but in my workflow I just dump stuff there that is handy to have in your peripheral vision but doesn't really get used all that often. The rest is fairly self explanatory. My main display runs off of an R9 290, the other 2 run off the iGPU. I would probably like more monitors, after trying UHD I think that the extra screen space would still be beneficial. I'll probably upgrade to an adaptive refreshrate monitor in the coming years, so my 1440p baby will become another peripheral monitor (which should be really nice).
