How long have these existed and why didn't I ever hear about them until now?

It's a Keyboard/Mouse converter for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer PC gaming. However, I have more IRL friends who play on the consoles sadly. That and I'd enjoy pwning console gamers with the peripherals I'm much more comfortable with. Freedom is awesome.

yep those have been around for a long time... well earlier models but yes old. :) Sony actually had a way to ban people using them way back in the day haha

Interesting.

I'd imagine these newer ones are much more accurate than the older ones. XIM3 boasts 1:1 accuracy. That's pretty epic.

Edit: I don't like how unfriendly this site is to "Alt+Enter" that Facebook has taught me to use. :( Frustrating.

The older ones were 1:1 if you set them up right. They weren't really plug n play back then but once you had it up and running you could destroy everyone on ps3 in any shooter online. It wasn't even funny and getting flagged for hacking was an every night thing with it hahaha.
