this robot can do it faster!
It's been 10 years, I think. Will hopefully solve it in like another 5 years :P
That's cool and an epic achievement in robotics and machine vision. I don't think the record is accurate though. However long it took to build and program that thing should be factored into the results. Plus they probably spent $5000 to win at a $10 game. LOL
Who cares? They are WINNING! I'm totally cool with that. I just spent $500 on a graphics card to play a $40 game.
BTW: I never solved the Rubix cube. I cheated. In frustration I took mine apart.
I think I can solve a single side in probably not much time
Also this guy's better
lets just say its a work in progress.
It takes about 20 minutes.
18 minutes of trying.
2 seconds worth of "FUCK THIS!"
1 second to throw it at the wall.
Less than two minutes to reassemble.
You may call it cheating, I call it a great strategy.
If you want to argue I'll change my label from "great strategy" to "hacking".
Let's see robo-nerd do that! Also, this type of robot is relatively easy to create. "Simple" instructions on conquering rubix cubes can be found online. I want to stress that simple and easy are not the same words. My ego aside, I think it's cool.
Takes me 5-10 minutes... I can get 2 sides and 2 layers pretty quick I'm just not good at the final few pieces. This robot is stupid fast I wonder if they have rubix cubes fly apart in pieces from time to time
I was helping a friend out clearing his parents loft. I guess like most people we spent way more of the time stopping to talk about childhood memories the rummage brought up. I came across a mixed up rubix cube and through it to him. He caught it, he paused half a second, his hands were a blur and he threw it back solved. Git! I was never any good at solving the blooming things.
i used to just take the stickers off and put them back on.
Lol! I used to do that when I was little.
there is a kid at my high school who can solve a rubicks cube in under 2 minutes.
Never solved one, so: ∞
Dang! There used to be a nerd gameshow (don't remember what it's called) where the first part of the elimination process was to finish the rubix cube and place it on a pedestal before you can answer the question. Those people would solve them in less than 20 seconds.
i'm between 35-60 seconds doing it with 3 looks on the last layer. If I have the 1 look cheat sheet in front of me it's about 20-25 seconds....I just don't have the practice with 1-look.
I cant solve a Rubix cube :(
If you could see my face it would have "envy" written all over it.
