So what do you folks think? I am on a budget so it will take me about 4 months to get all of the components together. I am looking to do some gaming @ 1080p and also some video editing. Am I missing anything? Do you think I have enough power?

Please use Pcpartpicker. It makes this so much easier.

Motherboard and CPU are good.

Get this RAM instead. Just as good and cheaper.

That PSU is probably fine and it is cheap but you don't need that much power.

Case is subjective but I'd much rather have a Corsair 200R for that price.

Get a Hyper 212 Evo instead of the cooler you have.

The GPU is fine. Also look at the R9 290. It isn't that much slower and can be had for $100 less.

THAT SSD MY GOD. Please no. Stay far far away from it. It is shit. Uses subpar flash, has a high failure rate, has a SandForce controller, and is slow. Like hardly faster than a HDD. Get a Crucial MX100 or Samsung 840 Evo instead.

You're gonna want a HDD too for storage. Get a 1Tb Caviar Blue from WD.

Monitor and mouse/KB are fine.

Appreciate the insight, the choice on the PSU was purely for color scheme purposes so I don't mind it being a bit overkill on juice. I have a few older HDD's I am going to use on that front.

Pretty much this. But if you're building in 4 months I would ask again then since there will likely be new parts or cheaper parts available

Has something changed and raidmax stopped being complete trash as far as power supplies go?

n o p e

raidmax is still terrible.

I did pretty much the same thing, but I would suggest you look into a different power supply.

Stay away from Raidmax PSU's they are known to catch on fire.

Appreciate the heads up, no one mentioned that in the newegg comments...

Because no regular PC builder has real testing equipment for PSU testing.

The testing equipment is very expensive.  Hence JonnyGuru and other sites have a very large following.
