How does my build look?

Hello everyone at teksyndicate,

I'm going to be upgrading to an entirely new pc within the next little while, and I be able to max out games on both 1080p and 1440p monitors. I'm going to be getting the graphics cards later, as i have a 660ti that I can use for a while until all the new cards come out, or the price drops. I'm basically asking your guys opinion on my build thus far.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Looks great, 2 things though. You don't need ram at that speed, the price is a bit ridiculous and that PSU is way too large. If you're going to SLI/Crossfire in the future with overclocking maybe grab a 750 or 850w.

Would an 850w power supply be enough for 780's or r9 290x's in sli? Also, what ram would you recommend?

A good quality 850w PSU would handle those GPU's no problem.

For ram just get any decent quality brand 1600mhz dual channel 16GB kit. Look for ram with latency of CL9 or lower. (Usually lower costs more. CL9 is kind of the sweet spot).

The problem with higher frequency ram is the latency is also higher, which works against and defeats the purpose. So that 2400 ram with higher latency of CL10 will perform pretty much the same as 1600 ram with lower latency of CL9.

Yeah, even 750w would be fine for 2 780s. You know, that ram is at a good price for the speed, you could keep that if you want. I didn't realize that it was 16GB. I really like G.Skill sniper and Corsair Vengeance Pro ram, but thats good ram too.

I've seen higher speed ram (2400 for example) at the same cost of lower speed ram (1600) before. So the choice is up to the buyer. But the thing is because of the latency differences, you'd never notice the difference anyways.

To each, his/her own. :)

it looks.. shiny.

what about this ram?
