How do i make a bootable usb with in linux

hey ya'll i need help with makeing a manjaro bootable usb within Linux plese help

thanks!!!!!!!!

If your in Ubuntu, theres a tool to do so http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/create-a-usb-stick-on-ubuntu

If in a different distro: http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/linux-create-a-bootable-usb-pen/

try Unetbootin or universal usb installer, they have linux versions as well as windows.

thank you

+1 on unetbootin.

Download the iso of the live distro you want to use from the official site of the distro, e.g. Manjaro-0.8.7-x86_64-XFCE from Manjaro.org, preferably with a torrent client because that will perform an automatic hash check, if you do a direct download, you have to perform a hash check manually,... then start up unetbootin with the USB drive plugged in, select the iso file you downloaded as image to burn, let unetbootin burn it.

Do not use the distro selection menu povided in unetbootin, there is no way to tell where these images downloaded by unetbootin come from or whether they are for real.

Oh and only use firefox or another fully open source browser (not opera, chrome, internet explorer or safari) to get to the official site of the distro you want to download, there is no way to tell for sure if you're really on the site it says it is with another browser, because you have no control over the verification of the site's certificate in those browsers (for instance, Microsoft, a clear competitor of linux that has proven to be capable of pretty bad anti-competitive behaviour, could have pushed a false certificate onto your computer - nobody can tell whether or not this happened, because noone can see what they pushed onto your computer, and internet explorer, opera, safari and chrome will use that list to identify the site, so if microsoft phishes that site to provide "spiked" versions of the distro, you would think that you're on the real site downloading the real distro, but you can't tell for sure, whereas Firefox or a fully open source web browser, will use open source viewable and user editable certification to make sure that you're on the actual download site of the distro you want, so the link you see there will lead you to the real iso download).
